Arjun Dahal

I am PhD candidate in Computer Science and Engineering department at the University of Texas at Arlington, where I conduct research under the supervision of Dr. Jeff Lei. Before joining my PhD, I completed my B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Pulchowk Campus, IOE, Nepal and worked as a Solutions Engineer at GuardSix.

My research broadly focuses on Explainable AI, with an emphasis on fairness testing, bias mitigation, and synthetic data generation. My work has explored generation of natural test cases for fairness testing for different definations of individual fairness testing of black-box machine models.

I am interested in advancing the trustworthiness and responsible deployment of AI systems by making them more fair, reliable, and interpretable.
